There is no denying that Red Bull knocked its car design out of the park. Here’s where the teams stand halfway through the semester. When determining each letter grade, we took into account the car performance, how the teams have stacked up to their preseason expectations and generally how they’ve maximized their performance so far this season. The teams already have their numerical scores in the form of championship points, but we opted to go the more traditional route, creating summer report cards. The fight to be second-best remains close and, at times, confusing, leaving many teams with big questions to ponder through the summer break. Five months and 12 races later, Red Bull has shown no sign of letting up, putting together a perfect season so far.
